Life gets stressy, no?
I’ve learned that I need to find some balance. Between work, the house, family, bills, and on and on, it gets overwhelming at times. In the past I’ve just let the stress pile on til my shoulders feel like they are going to break. After a good conversation with a friend, I realized it doesn’t have to be that way.
The last few weeks I have dedicated time to finding my balance.
Yoga, meditation, reading. It helps. And I am so incredibly new on this journey that I do not promise to have all the answers. I’m learning to be gentle with myself and remember that it’s not about a quick fix (“Am I relaxed yet?”)
I discovered the album Waking the Cobra: Vocal Meditations on the Chakras. It is beautiful and haunting, and when the room is quiet and dark, I can actually settle my mind.
So, if you are into the meditation thing, or if you are thinking about it, I recommend Waking the Cobra. Typically, I would remember my dreams only a few times a year. Since I started meditations, I remember my dreams almost every night now.
It’s pretty amazing.
